General Grabber AT2 vs Cooper Discoverer AT3 Off-Road Traction
General Grabber AT2 performs incredibly well on rocks, dirt or sand. That harder compound used really improves grip, especially on rocks. A bit annoying is the fact that this tire tends to constantly retain gravel. And, at higher tire speed rotations, it will send it at high speeds at your doors and panels.

The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 performs good on rock climbing and on sand but really shines on mud and gravel. The tire tread design, with dual draft elements and serrated steps, doesn’t pick up gravel or small rocks. This is pretty important, because you won’t have to constantly pry out the gravel with a screwdriver.
General Grabber AT2 vs Cooper Discoverer AT3 Dry Traction
Since both are all terrain Truck Tires, they perform excellent on dry roads. Both have good grip and traction and the steering is quite responsive. The General Grabber AT2 is a bit noisy, especially because of the compound used, a slightly harder one.

In wet situations the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 beats easily the General Grabber AT2. This is mainly because of the silica tread compound used, which makes the tire softer, and the zig-zag sipe pattern. The Grabber AT2 performs decent on wet surfaces, but the special sipes pattern cannot make miracles. This is mainly because of the harder compound used, the same compound that makes this tire so good on sand and dirt.
General Grabber AT2 vs Cooper Discoverer AT3 Winter Traction
The Cooper A/T3 it is not rated with the 3PMS symbol, while the General AT2 is. This makes the General Grabber AT2 better in both light and deep snow. It is better than Cooper Discoverer A/T3 on ice as well, but not by a huge margin.

The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 is the winner when it comes to handling on the roads. This is partially due to its softer compound and partially to the tread design an sipes pattern. The General Grabber AT2, on the other hand is a bit to rough for highway speeds, and this affects both handling and cornering. It is also more noisier that the Cooper Discoverer A/T3.

Due to its harder compound, the General Grabber AT2 has a better tread life than the Cooper Discoverer AT3. The warranty is identical: both tires have a warranty of 60K miles.

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 is the most civilized one. It provides better handling and comfort on highways and on gravel roads. It is also a bit less noisier than the General Grabber AT2.
In our opinion, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 is the best combination of on roads and off-roads capabilities. The General Grabber AT2 is better suited for rough terrains and less for highways.
